Office work in government agencies in Metro Manila is suspended on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, Jr. announced Tuesday evening.

Work in government offices in all other areas under Signal No. 2 is also suspended tomorrow, July 16, 2014, Memorandum Circular No. 67 signed by Ochoa said.

However, agencies like the DSWD, MMDA, DOH and rescue teams of each local government are expected to report.

Following is the Memorandum Circular No. 67 dated July 15, 2014.

MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 67

Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and in view of the inclement weather brought about by Typhoon “Glenda,” work in government offices and classes in all levels, both public and private, in the National Capital Region and in areas under Typhoon Signal 2 are hereby suspended tomorrow, 16 July 2014.

However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital public services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.

This Circular shall take effect immediately.
