All government offices in Metro Manila have been suspended tomorrow, July 16, 2014, due to the effects of Typhoon Glenda, MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said Tuesday night.

MMDA Chairman Tolentino said no work will be observed tomorrow except frontline offices and rescue teams due to inclement weather condition brought by Typhoon Glenda.
He also revealed that it was Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa who released the order regarding the suspension of work in government offices at the National Capital Region (Metro Manila).

Frontline offices, rescue teams, or agencies involved in disaster risk management including the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and the NDRRMC itself have to work.
Earlier, local government units, colleges, and universities declared suspension of classes tomorrow in anticipation to the effects of the weather disturbance.
State weather bureau said Typhoon “GLENDA” is expected to make landfall over Albay this evening then cross the Bicol Region towards Southern Luzon.
Glenda is expected to pass Metro Manila before noon tomorrow and in the vicinity of Bataan in the afternoon and will move towards the West Philippine Sea. By Thursday afternoon, it will be at 370 km West of Sinait, Ilocos Sur outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
