Typhoon #GlendaPH intensifies further placing Metro Manila, and 20 other areas under Signal No. 3, PAGASA said in its latest weather bulletin issued at 11 p.m., July 15, 2014.

It traverses Ragay Gulf and moves towards Southern Quezon.

State weather bureau said at 10:45 PM today, the eye of Typhoon “GLENDA” was located based on all available data and Baler Radar Station at 65 km Southeast of Alabat, Quezon (13.6°N, 122.6°E).

Glenda is packing a maximum sustained winds of 150 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph while moving West Northwest at 19 kph.

PAGASA said Typhoon Glenda is expected to cross Metro Manila before noon tomorrow and exit the Luzon landmass via Zambales by Wednesday evening. It will be at 450 km Northwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Residents in low-lying and mountainous areas under signal #3, #2, & #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas under signal #3 and #2 are alerted against storm surges of up to 3 meters.

Estimated rainfall amount is from 7.5 – 30.0 mm per hour (moderate to intense) within the 500 km diameter of the typhoon.
