Ilagan City, Isabela Official Local Candidates 2019 for Midterm Elections

Two people are running for mayor of Ilagan City Isabela in the coming 2019 local elections.

Registered voters will elect for the elective local posts in Ilagan City: the mayor, vice mayor, the Congressman, and the councilors, six in each of the city’s two legislative districts, on May 13, 2019.

Ilagan, (Ibanag: Siudad nat Ilagan; Ilokano: Siudad ti Ilagan; Tagalog: Lungsod ng Ilagan), officially the City of Ilagan, is a 1st class city and capital of the province of Isabela, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 145,568 people [3] making it the most populous city in the province.

With a total land area of 116,626 hectares (288,190 acres), it is the largest city in the island of Luzon and the fourth largest city in land area in the Philippines, after Davao City, Puerto Princesa and Zamboanga City.[5] It holds the title as the most number of voters in the province with 88,413 voters.

Guidelines for Verification

  1. The Certified List of Candidates (List), as posted, is merely an initial List and subject to editing.
  2. All candidates are enjoined to check their names, specifically their Names to Appear on the Official Ballot, in the List.
  3. Any request for correction, if allowed, shall be communicated to the Regional Election Director, Provincial Election Supervisor, or Election Officer concerned in writing until 9 November 2018. The Election Officer shall in turn, submit a memorandum to the Law Department, by the fastest means of communication with regard to the request for correction.
  4. The Law Department shall determine whether or not the request for correction is allowed.
  5. The List is subject to the outcome of the various cases/issues pending before the Commission.
