State weather bureau PAGASA said Tropical Storm Glenda could affect Metro Manila on Wednesday, July 16, if the storm maintains its track.
The weather system, which is spotted at 1150 km east of Bicol region with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gustiness of 80 kph, is reported to enter the Philippine area of responsibility Sunday night, July 13.
Once inside PAR, the storm will be given the name Glenda.
Bagyong Glenda is forecast to move west at 23 kph and is expected to make landfall in Quezon province on Wednesday morning, July 16.
PAGASA said its effects are expected to enhance the southwest monsoon, bringing rain over Bicol and the northern parts of Samar on Tuesday, July 15.
Forecast said Bagyong Glenda will start affecting the Bicol region and the province of Quezon beginning Tuesday then move towards Central Luzon.

Reports said Tropical Storm Rammasun (Bagyong Glenda) may reach typhoon strength when it makes landfall in the Philippines.
If the storm reaches typhoon strength, locals in the Philippines will need to brace for damaging winds and heavy, torrential rainfall that could lead to mudslides.
The Philippines will have partly cloud to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms on Monday, July 14.
