Classes in all levels are suspended in Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Manila, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Pasig, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig and Valenzuela, and in the lone municipality of Pateros.

Reports said Presidential Executive Secretary Paquito “Jojo” Ochoa has suspended classes in all levels in Metro Manila.

Outside the NCR, the local governments of Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Nueva Ecija, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Pangasinan, and Tarlac also suspended classes in all levels today.

When storm signal no. 1 is raised, classes in kindergarten and pre-school are suspended. The suspension extends to elementary and high school levels when signal no. 2 is raised. Signal no. 3 cancels classes in all levels.

#MarioPH is expected to be at 91 km North Northeast of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte by Saturday morning, and at 195 km Northwest of Basco, Batanes by Sunday morning.

By Monday morning, Tropical Storm Mario is forecast to be at 643 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), state weather bureau said in its latest severe weather bulletin issued at 5 a.m. today.
