Bagyong Glenda (international name Rammasun) continues to move in a westward direction and to make landfall over Albay-Sorsogon tonight.
According to the severe weather bulletin released by PAGASA, as of 4:00 AM today, July 15, 2014, Typhoon “GLENDA” was estimated based on all available data at 270 km east of Legaspi city (12.7ºN, 126.4ºE).
Bagyong Glenda is packing a maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph.
It is forecast to move West at 20 kilometers per hour.
PAGASA put Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Camarines Sur, Burias Island, Ticao Island, and Northern Samar under Public Storm Signal Warning No. 3 (winds of 101-185 kph is expected in at least 18 hours) while Metro Manila, Camarines Norte, Masbate, Marinduque, Quezon, Polilio Island, Batangas, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, Bulacan, Samar, and Eastern Samar are under Public Storm Signal Warning No. 2 (winds of 61-100 Kph is expected in at least 24 hours).
Meanwhile, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Lubang Island, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, La Union, Aurora, Northern Leyte, and Biliran Island are under Signal No.1 (winds of 30-60 Kph is expected in at least 36 hours).
Estimated rainfall amount brought by Tropical Storm Glenda is from 7.5-15 mm per hour (moderate-heavy) within the 400 km diameter of the Tropical Storm.
Bagyong Glenda was likely to intensify further before it makes a landfall in Albay-Sorsogon.

PAGASA said Typhoon Glenda will be in the vicinity of Metro Manila on Wednesday morning. It’ll exit landmass via Zambales area on Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, PAGASA advised residents in low-lying and mountainous areas under storm signals to be alert against possible flash floods and landslides.
