A video footage purportedly showing abducted barangay captain of Aliguay, Dapitan City and two Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) personnel has gone viral online.
In the video, the Muslim gunmen were seen trying to chop the neck of each victims, identified as Roberto Bulagao, barangay captain of Aliguay Island in Dapitan City and PCG personnel Seaman 2nd Class Gringo Villaruz, and Seaman 1st Class Rod Pagaling. The video footage in an unidentified place later showed each victim asking help from the Aquino administration.
A report from PhilStar last month confirmed the abduction of the three officials by the suspects with high powered firearms. It said that gunmen clad in camouflage uniforms seized the three unarmed victims.
According to Police Senior Superintendent Romulo Cleve Taboso, operation chief and spokesman of Police Regional Office 9 (PRO), the suspects were speaking in Tagalog dialect when they abducted the victims.
Reports said the victims were abducted on May 4 at about 1:45 a.m.
The motive of abducting the officials at the time of abduction was unclear, but the video clearly showed that the dilemma can only be solved by the involvement of the Aquino government.

As shown in the video, each victim except the barangay captain was framed to ask help from the Aquino government.
The Muslim gunmen, in the later part of the video, said that they will kill the victims immediately once the government failed to give their demands.
