An alleged Rappler’s Google ads is stirring up a great deal of controversy for appearing to promote Vice President Leni Robredo relating to its “all the latest news” campaign.

Facebook page said that appearing in the 320×250 ad is the official logo of Rappler with a large text of Leni Robredo and below it is the caption “All the latest news here.”

Also, an alleged separate ad is displaying a picture of parts books in a shelf with a caption “Leni Robredo – All the latest news here.” However, what makes the ad truly unsettling is that the official website of Rappler, rappler.com, is seen below the text, which made some Facebook users furious.

“Theyre giving her a boost. Naghihingalo na kase! Laki siguro ng payola,” one said.

As of posting, the alleged screenshots of the two ads have been liked by more than 4,000 and shared by 300 people.

Rappler has yet to comment regarding the issue.
