A 6.2-magnitude earthquake was felt at Virac, Catanduanes (intensity 3) at 11:13 p.m., February 2, 2015.

The epicenter is at 92 kilometers northeast of Virac, Catanduanes with a depth of 1 kilometer.

PHIVOLCS said the tremor was felt as Intensity III in Panganiban town, Catanduanes; and in Sorsogon City, Sorsogon; and Legazpi City in Albay, both in Bicol. Intensity III can be felt by many people indoors, especially in upper floors of buildings or hanging objects swing moderately.

It was also felt as Intensity II in Naga City, Camarines Sur, which means it was felt by few individuals resting indoors or hanging objects swung slightly.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, damages and aftershocks are expected from the earthquake.
