An update into the condition of the Filipino toddler who supposedly was still alive prior to a funeral burial has proved to be a false occurrence, with Doctors now declaring that the child is deceased.
The video which sparked the initial hysteria shows a man holding a small 3 year old toddler, taking her out of her coffin before she was to be buried. Taking place on July 12th in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, disbelief was sparked by the apparent movement of the toddler’s head and fingers.
One of the mourners managed to pull out their phone and start recording the incident, with multiple people surround the man and child as the attempted to remove her from the church.
The toddler was brought to a local hospital after the events of the video, where she was officially announced dead by one of the doctors on call, stating that the toddler had no pulse and was not breathing.
It had previously been reported that the child had been ill for the past two weeks and it was deemed that she had died from Bronchial Pneumonia on July 10th, 2014.
The family had attempted to take the child home after the alleged “resurrection”, however were dissuaded by a family friend to bring her to a Doctor. Despite this, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur municipal health officer Mary Silyne Cabahug showed the mother the readings from the child when attached to a cardiac monitor which indicated that toddler was in fact deceased.
“The baby has no heartbeat. Flatline. The baby has no life,” she said.
Previous accounts state that the family had consulted an ‘unqualified’ doctor who had stated that the toddler was still alive and should not be buried.
Uncooperative with the statements made by the Doctors, the family has taken the toddler home and has attempted to feed her milk, seemingly sill clinging to the hope of the “miracle resurrection”.
Doctors have advised them to cremate the body, as it has begun to decompose as a result of prolonged outside exposure.
The family is currently still deciding whether or not they wish to bury the child and has considered a burial later in the week.
