A married woman in South Cotabato has given birth to a snake. The family of the 37-year old woman said to have been quite shocked after giving birth to the legless reptile on Tuesday, February 16, at around 2 p.m.
In an exclusive interview with Bombo Radyo Koronadal, the family described the baby to have a body like of a snake, which was 2-foot long, and a mouth of a piranha.

According to the report, the ‘snake child’ was not her husband’s baby as the latter was still in Manila when she began to manifest pregnancy symptoms.
Due to excessive vomiting and loss of appetite and unbearable stomachache, they reportedly brought her to three different hospitals but not one could provide them a clue to her condition.
When a pregnancy test came back positive, Rachfeed said they scheduled an ultrasound but doctors could not confirm whether she was carrying a child since the fetus did not look like a typical baby but had a long body.

Relatives also disclosed that they resorted to seven faith healers after the medical doctors untreated her ailment. The last witch doctor was able to help her delivered the child. Moments after the delivery, the woman’s mother pierced it to death using a sharpened bamboo ‘bagakay’ (a thin type of bamboo believed to fight/counteract evil and supernatural creatures).
The woman’s mother also burned the snake’s body.
