The Civil Service Commission on Saturday, Nov. 28, officially released the results of October 2015 Civil Service Exam – Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) for the professional and Sub-professional levels.

Here’s the list of passers per region for the October 18, 2015 CSE-PPT:

The Commission said that the CSE-PPT at the following areas: Region 1 (Ilocos Region), Region 2 (Cagayan Valley Region) Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), National Capital Region (Metro Manila) and Tawi-Tawi was rescheduled to December 6, 2015 due to Typhoon Lando.

Meanwhile, the individual test result generation through OCSERGS (Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System) for October 2015 CSE-PPT passers shall be available by Dec. 14, 2015 and thereafter.

All concerns on examination result, including verification of Examinee Number, should be coordinated directly with the CSCRO concerned.

The certification of Eligibility for passers (printed on CSC letterhead, free of charge) shall be available by January 4, 2016 and thereafter.

The CSE-PPT is a general ability test designed to measure an individual’s preparedness to enter government service.

There are two levels of CSE-PPT, for the professional and sub-professional. Three-hour test for the professional level includes vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic, and numerical reasoning (English and Filipino). For the latter, exam coverage is almost the same with the inclusion of clerical operations instead of analogy and logic and timed for 2.5 hours.

Questions for both examination levels include general information on the Philippine Constitution, the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713), peace and human rights issues and concepts, and environment management and protection.
