The fifth live shows episode of ABS-CBN’s hit singing competition The Voice of the Philippines was held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Newport Performing Arts, Theater, Resorts World Manila, Newport City, Pasay City.

The artists from Team Sarah and Apl fought for a spot to stay in the competition.

The rules for this round were as follows:

  • One contestant from each team is immediately eliminated on the night of his performance.
  • The voting lines are first opened after each team’s performance, and closed sometime during the episode.
  • In a team, the two contestants with the top percentage of public votes get through. The coach also saves another contestant. The remaining singer is eliminated.

Team Apl:

Team Sarah:

  • [IN, Coach’s save] Jason Dy: “OMG”
  • [OUT] Jason Fernandez: “Moves Like Jagger”
  • [IN, second to be saved] Monique Lualhati “Bang Bang”

Kokoi Baldo and Monique Lualhati got the highest number of votes under Sarah’s group, 41.61 and 25.26 percent respectively. Meanwhile, Daryl Ong and Alisah Bonaobra of Team Apl have received the highest percentage of votes from the public, 41.16 and 28.55 percent respectively.

Artists from Team Apl who have clashed to win a slot in the finale are Alisah Bonaobra (“LaserLight”), Daryl Ong (“Smile”), Suy Galvez ( “Bridge over Troubled Water”) and Mackie Cao (“Maghintay Ka Lamang”).

Team Sarah’s top 4 who have battled for the live shows this week includes Kokoi Baldo (“Could You Be Loved”), Jason Fernandez (“Moves like Jagger”), Jason Dy (“OMG”) and Monique Lualhati (“Bang Bang”).
