Taytay, Quezon Official Local Candidates 2019 Midterm Elections

Three people are running for mayor of Taytay, Rizal in the coming 2019 local elections.

Registered voters will elect for the elective local posts in
Taytay: the mayor, vice mayor, the Congressman, and the councilors, six in each of the city’s two legislative districts, on May 13, 2019.

Taytay, officially the Municipality of Taytay, (Tagalog: Bayan ng Taytay), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Rizal, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 319,104 people.

It is the third most populous municipality in the country, after Rodriguez and Cainta.

Conurbanated with Metro Manila, it is bounded by Cainta on the north, Pasig and Taguig on the west, Antipolo in the east and Angono on the south. While economically, demographically and politically qualified, plans to convert it into a city was set aside, pending social and administrative reforms in the municipality.

Guidelines for Verification

  1. The Certified List of Candidates (List), as posted, is merely an initial List and subject to editing.
  2. All candidates are enjoined to check their names, specifically their Names to Appear on the Official Ballot, in the List.
  3. Any request for correction, if allowed, shall be communicated to the Regional Election Director, Provincial Election Supervisor, or Election Officer concerned in writing until 9 November 2018. The Election Officer shall in turn, submit a memorandum to the Law Department, by the fastest means of communication with regard to the request for correction.
  4. The Law Department shall determine whether or not the request for correction is allowed.
  5. The List is subject to the outcome of the various cases/issues pending before the Commission.
