Two people are running for mayor of Bongabon, Nueva Ecija in the coming 2019 local elections.

Registered voters will elect for the elective local posts in
Bongabon, Nueva Ecija: the councilors, six in each of the city’s two legislative districts, on May 13, 2019.

Bongabon, officially the Municipality of Bongabon, is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Nueva Ecija, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 64,173 people.

It has an area of 28,352.90 hectares (70,061.5 acres), and is the leading producer of onion in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia.

Each barangay in Bongabon has its own fiesta. The town fiesta, celebrated annually on the 1st to 2nd week of April, is known as the Sibuyasan Onion Festival.

Guidelines for Verification

  1. The Certified List of Candidates (List), as posted, is merely an initial List and subject to editing.
  2. All candidates are enjoined to check their names, specifically their Names to Appear on the Official Ballot, in the List.
  3. Any request for correction, if allowed, shall be communicated to the Regional Election Director, Provincial Election Supervisor, or Election Officer concerned in writing until 9 November 2018. The Election Officer shall in turn, submit a memorandum to the Law Department, by the fastest means of communication with regard to the request for correction.
  4. The Law Department shall determine whether or not the request for correction is allowed.
  5. The List is subject to the outcome of the various cases/issues pending before the Commission.
