Meycauayan City, Bulacan: the councilors, six in each of the city’s two legislative districts, on May 13, 2019.

Meycauayan, officially the City of Meycauayan, (Tagalog: Lungsod ng Meycauayan), or simply known as Meycauayan City, is a 3rd class city in the province of Bulacan, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 209,083 people.

The city is located 19 kilometres (12 mi) north of Manila and 26 kilometres (16 mi) south of Malolos City, the provincial capital city. It is bounded by the town of Marilao to the north, the cities of Valenzuela to the south and Caloocan (North) to the east, and the town of Obando to the west. It encompasses an aggregate area of 22.1 square kilometres (8.5 sq mi), representing 1.17% of the total land area of the province of Bulacan.

Guidelines for Verification

  1. The Certified List of Candidates (List), as posted, is merely an initial List and subject to editing.
  2. All candidates are enjoined to check their names, specifically their Names to Appear on the Official Ballot, in the List.
  3. Any request for correction, if allowed, shall be communicated to the Regional Election Director, Provincial Election Supervisor, or Election Officer concerned in writing until 9 November 2018. The Election Officer shall in turn, submit a memorandum to the Law Department, by the fastest means of communication with regard to the request for correction.
  4. The Law Department shall determine whether or not the request for correction is allowed.
  5. The List is subject to the outcome of the various cases/issues pending before the Commission.
