Local Pulse has launched its first ranking to reflect the best electrical engineering schools in the Philippines for 2017 using overall board exam performance, accreditation status, and faculty-student ratio as criteria.
These well-regarded colleges and universities from around the country have shown strength in producing registered electrical engineers this year.
The Local Pulse School Rankings 2017 analyzed 199 colleges and universities across the country offering electrical engineering degree programs. The overall ranking this year for electrical engineering features just 35 schools with 20 or more examinees and with at least 70% weighted passing percentage.
The ranking uses the same performance indicators as the Local Pulse School Rankings, however the weightings for number of examinees were adjusted to reflect programs with less examinees. The other parts of full methodology can be found here.
Other possible factors which are possibly secondary variables in nature in determining the best Philippine schools for electrical engineering are included in the disclaimer page. Factors such as international linkages, community involvement, employer reputation, research outputs, and research citations per faculty are not part of this study. These variables are assumed to be correlated to the board exam results.
