Netizens are searching the internet including the Facebook search if September 21, 2017 is a special non-working holiday in the Philippines.
The answer will be confirmed by President Rodrigo R. Duterte not later than Thursday, September 21.
According to PhilStar, President Rodrigo Duterte may suspend government work and classes in Metro Manila next week amid plans by several groups to hold massive protests.

“At this early, I am announcing that I am ordering a holiday para walang masaktan, walang ano kung may demonstration diyan, magkagulo.” Duterte said in an interview with news anchor Erwin Tulfo. He did not mention the exact date of the possible holiday.
It further noted that the Palace will need to issue a proclamation to officially declare a holiday.
“Walang trabaho ang gobyerno ‘yang araw na ‘yan at ang klase suspended. At lahat ng public places dito na gusto ninyong i-occupy, kunin ninyo,” Duterte added.
Meanwhile, a Muslim holiday is declared on September 21, 2017 in provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur, and in the Cities of Cotabato, Iligan, Marawi, Pagadian and Zamboanga.
Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 1083 otherwise known as Code of Muslim Personal Laws of the Philippines, “Amun Jadid or Islamic New Year” is a recognized Muslim Legal Holiday. It falls on September 21, 2017 which corresponds to Muhariam 1, 1439 Hijra.
