Top 10 LET Performing Schools 2009-2013

The Philippine Business for Education (PBED) has cited the Top 10 LET Performing Schools based on the performance of their graduates in the 2009-2013 licensure tests given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

PBED identified the top 10 Teacher Educations Institutions (TEIs) with test-taker passing rates of at least 80% for both elementary and secondary exams and with at least 250 takers as Philippine Normal University (93 percent), University of Santo Tomas (93 percent), and Saint Louis University (86 percent). These schools are categorized as Category A (at least 1,000 takers).

Meanwhile, Category B TEIs (500-999 takers) followed with their passing rates in the licensure examination for teachers (LET) as University of the Philippines-Diliman (97 percent), Xavier University (Ateneo de Cagayan) (89 percent), Bohol Island State University-Tagbilaran (84 percent), University of St. La Salle (87 percent), and University of South Easter Philippines (Tagum-Mabini) (84 percent).

Completing the list are De La Salle University-Manila (99 percent), and Ateneo de Naga University (86 percent). They are categorized as Category B TEIs (250-499 takers).

PBED also released list of worst performing schools in the LET from October 2009. Universidad de Zamboanga (Ipil), Unda Memorial National Agricultural School, Asian College of Science and Technology – Dumaguete and Saint Joseph College Inc. (Amaya) are among the worst performing schools for Elementary education.
