Class suspensions for August 22, 2017 are starting to come in as Tropical Storm Isang continued to intensify Monday morning, August 21, 2017, as it continued to slice through a group of small islands north of Luzon.
In a severe weather bulletin issued at 11 in the morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that Isang packed maximum sustained winds of up to 80 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 97 kph.

In a 3:30 p.m. update, state weather bureau issued heavy rainfall warning over Metro Manila, Bataan, Cavite, Rizal, Bulacan, and Southern Zambales with possible flooding in low lying areas.
