
Typhoon Dodong (international name Noul) has slightly intensified as it moves in a West Northwest direction.
Dodong slightly intensified further at 134 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 170 kph, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 11 a.m. bulletin.
It was last observed 925 km East Northeast of Surigao City (10.8°N, 133.9°E) and was moving west northwest at 17 kph.
Estimated rainfall amount is from heavy to intense within the 300 km radius of the Typhoon.
This typhoon is expected to affect the eastern section of Visayas and Bicol region for the next 24-36 hours, the state weather bureau said.

The state weather bureau said that Bagyong Dodong is forecast to be 575 km East of Borongan, Eastern Samar by Friday morning (24-hour forecast, and 220 km East of Virac, Catanduanes by Saturday morning (48-hour forecast). It is also expected to be in the vicinity of Isabela, Cagayan by Sunday morning (72-hour forecast).
