
Bagyong Karen has accelerated further as it poses a serious threat over Aurora Province, state weather bureau announced Saturday, October 15.
As of 4 p.m., Bagyong Karen was spotted at 205 km East of Infanta, Quezon(15.0°N, 123.5°E), with maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 180 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 22 kph.
PAGASA said estimated amount of rainfall is from moderate to heavy within the 500 km diameter of the typhoon.
Possible raising of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal #1 over Aurora and the rest of Quezon this morning.
