President Benigno Aquino III is set to deliver his address to the nation regarding Maguindanao deadly clash between Muslim rebels and elite cops.

His address to the country today, Wednesday, January 28, 2015 will talk about the bloody operation in Mamasapano, Maguindanao that claimed lives of 44 police commandos.

Malacañang officials did not specify President Aquino’s “Message to the Nation”, but they said the president will probably discuss the tragedy.

This address came after Malacañang on Tuesday announced a “Message to the Nation” as part of President Benigno Aquino III’s schedule for Wednesday.

The address is set for 6:30 pm.

The President in his message on Wednesday is also expected to continue pushing for the BBL.

The failure of capturing Southeast Asia’s most wanted terrorist Zulkifli Abd Hir also known as Marwan has created online and offline stirs. Sources said some reliable officials were blaming President Benigno Aquino and suspended National Police Chief Alan Purisima in the deadly clash in Maguindanao that killed 44 members of the elite Special Action Force and wounded 12 others – the most deadly for the SAF in recent history.

According to Rappler, some 392 SAF commandos entered Mamasapano town in Maguindanao, a known bailiwick of the MILF. They were targeting two “high value targets,” one of them alleged Malaysian bomb maker Zulkifli bin Hir, better known as “Marwan.”

Marwan is wanted worldwide by the US government, which even offered a $5-million bounty for Marwan’s capture.
