Reports said traffic enforcer Jorvy Adriatico was allegedly punched and dragged by “mestizo-looking” driver of an Italian luxury sports car Maserati Marshall, which is priced at an averaged of $67,000 (P3 million) for Ghibli or around $150,000 (P6.7 million) for a 2015 GranTurismo model.

Thirty-nine year old Adriatico reportedly suffered a fractured nose after he was allegedly jabbed thrice by the Italian luxury sports car driver at the corner of Quezon Avenue and Araneta Avenue in Brgy. Tatalon at about 6:30 a.m.

Adriatico reportedly said that he whipped out his mobile phone and started taking a video of the Maserati that did not have any license plates. The driver also violated traffic rules by making a left turn on Quezon Avenue, which was not allowed. This was when mauling incident took place. He also claimed that the Maserati driver took away his mobile phone prior to dragging Adriatico by driving his car while still clutching onto the helpless MMDA officer.

Inquirer reported that a fellow traffic enforcer of Adriatico caught the incident on video.

The still-unidentified Maserati driver will be charged with serious physical injuries and assault upon an agent of a person in authority.
