LRT 1 and LRT 2 railway systems have released its adjusted schedules for the Christmas 2017 and New Year 2018 holidays.
Malacañang has declared December 25 and 30 and January 1, 2018 as regular holidays and December 24, 26, and 31 and January 2, 2018 as special non-working days.
The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) said LRT-1 will run on shorter operating hours on Dec. 24, 25, and 31, 2017 and Jan. 2, 2018.
On December 24, 2017 LRT1 will begin its firs trip from Roosevelt to Baclaran at 4:30 a.m., but the last trip will be at 8 p.m.
On December 31, LRT 1’s operating schedule will be from 4:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Below is the summary of operating schedule for LRT 1:
- December 24: 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- December 25: 4:30 a.m. to 9:50 p.m.
- December 30: 4:30 a.m. to 9:50 p.m.
- December 31: 4:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- January 1: 4:30 a.m. to 9:50 p.m.
The normal operating schedule of LRT 1 is from 4:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 4:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
LRT 2 Operating Schedule for Christmas Holidays 2017, New Year 2018
The LRT 2 will also have shorter operating hours during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Westbound Santolan to Recto on December 24 will run from 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m, while the eastbound Recto to Santolan will be from 4:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Meanwhile, Westbound Santolan to Recto on December 31 will run from 4:30 a.m. to 7 p.m, while the eastbound Recto to Santolan will be from 4:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Below is the summary of other operating schedules for LRT 2:
- December 25: 4:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- December 30: 4:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- January 1: 4:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
