The UAAP Season 80 senior men’s basketball tournament is scheduled to begin on September 9, 2017 with UE Red Warriors vs. NU Bulldogs and Ateneo Blue Eagles vs. Adamson Soaring Falcons.
The Far Eastern University has been chosen to serve as host for the UAAP senior men’s basketball, widely regarded as the premier collegiate league for the country’s best up-and-coming cagers, and other sports tournaments with Dr. Michael Alba as UAAP Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Atty. Rene Andrei Saguisag, Jr., as the Association’s new Executive Director, for the first time in 80 years.
Atty. Saguisag is charged to perform, direct, manage, and oversee a variety of assignments. These include implementing policies; providing support to the Board of Trustees, the Board of Managing Directors, and the UAAP Committees; supervising operations; and undertaking special projects.
Venues for the men’s basketball tournaments include SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City and Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

This year’s theme is “Go for Great”.
A total of fifteen sports will be played for the overall championship. This year will be the first girls high school basketball division, futsal competition-men’s, women’s, boys and girls division, as well as the 3 on 3 basketball to be held at FEU manila.
All the men’s basketball games will be aired live by ABS-CBN Sports+Action, S+A HD and sports.abs-cbn.com/uaap.
