
All government office works in Metro Manila, Regions 4-A, and Region 4-B have been suspended Monday, December 8, 2014, due to the effects of Typhoon Ruby, according to Malacañang Palace.
Except for those agencies whose work involves the delivery of basic and health services, disaster response, and other vital public services, Malacañang said no work will be observed Monday.
Statement of Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte on the suspension of work in government offices for December 8, 2014 said classes at all levels and work in government offices have been suspended by Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa, Jr. for today, December 8, 2014.
For the private sector, discretion to suspend work lies with the individual companies and employers. We urge employers to consider the circumstances of their employees brought about by the effects of Typhoon Ruby.
NCR areas include Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Manila, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Pasig, Pateros, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig, and Valenzuela.
Meanwhile, Region IV-A covers Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, Rizal, Antipolo City, and Lucena City while Region IV-B covers Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, and Romblon.
