Magnitude 5.5 quake jolts Metro Manila, other parts of Luzon

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake was recorded in Nasugbu, Batangas on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 12:25 p.m., the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The quake struck 25 kilometers southwest of Nasugbu, Batangas.

The earthquake was felt in the following areas:

Intensity IV: Nasugbu, Batangas; Lubang & Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro.

Intensity III: Balayan, Tuy, Talisay and Calatagan, Batangas; Quezon City; Clark, Pampanga;
Mandaluyong City; Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro; Looc and Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro;
Tanza & Maragondon, Cavite; Makati City; Pasay City; Tagaytay City.

Intensity II: Manila City; Plaridel, Obando and Malolos, Bulacan and Parañaque City.

Instrumental Intensities:

Intensity III – Malolos, Bulacan; Calatagan, Batangas; Tagaytay City

Intensity II – Marikina City; Navotas City; San Ildefonso, Bulacan; Talisay, Batangas
