The results of 2014 Bar Exam are expected to be released on March 26, 2015 (Thursday), Manila Bulletin revealed in its website. The exam was held on four Sundays in October 2014.
The Philippine Bar exam is conducted to qualify candidates to practice law. The Supreme Court Bar Examination Committee is the statutory body which regulates the practice of Philippines Law. The committee examines the capability of the candidate to practice as a lawyer in the Philippines. Through this examination candidate’s basic knowledge about the law and analytical abilities are tested.
Candidates who have written this examination can check their result at the official website of the Supreme Court of the Philippines on March 26, 2015.
All the candidates who successfully pass this examination will each receive a certificate. They will then be eligible to practice law in the country.
Last year, of the 6,344 law graduates who were accredited to take the examinations, only 5,994 examinees finished the exams on the first and second Sundays of October at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila.
It was not known immediately whether there were other drop outs on the third and fourth (the last day) Sundays of the examinations.
Eight law subjects are covered in the examinations that have been administered by the SC, under the law and by tradition, since 1900.
The chairman of the 2014 bar examinations committee is SC Justice Diosdado M. Peralta.
