Cagayan de Oro representative Pia Wurtzbach was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas 2015 (Miss Universe Philippines 201) at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on Sunday night.
An emotional Wurtzbach, who also won the Bb. Creamsilk award, received her crown from reigning Miss Universe Philippines 2014 Mary Jean Lastimosa.
Bagging the Bb. Pilipinas International title was Janicel Lubina from Palawan. The beauty queen also won Best in Long Gown and Best in Swimsuit.
Meanwhile the Bb. Pilipinas Tourism crown was awarded to Ann Lorraine Colis of Mexico, Pampanga.
Rogelie Catacutan, the 23-year old beauty queen from Cebu City, was announced Bb. Pilipinas Supranational.
On the other hand, Christi Lynn McGarry of Nabua, Camarines Sur was awarded with the Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental crown.
Declared first runner-up was Hannah Ruth Lulu Sison, and second runner-up was Kimverlyn Suiza. Sison haild from Oas, Albay while Suiza haild from Marikina.
Other candidates who received a special award were Toni Alyessa Hipolito for Miss Congeniality and Caneille Faith Santos for Miss Photogenic and Manila Bulletin Readers Choice Award.
It was the third time that the 25-year old Wurtzbach joined the pageant, winning first runner-up in 2013 and landing in the Top 15 in 2014.
Pia Wurtzbach will compete at the 64th Miss Universe pageant later this year.
