The stars of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entries this year took their annual parade ahead of December 25 (December 23).
The “Parade of Stars” started from Aseana Building in Parañaque all the way to the Quirino Grandstand.
The MMFF 2014 movies kicked off in theaters nationwide on December 25, 2014.
On December 27, the 40th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) awards night was held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). Organizers hailed ‘Bonifacio‘ as Best Picture winner, among several other awards. ‘Kubot’ and ‘English Only, Please’ also won several awards.
January 4, 2014 Update (Gross Earnings)
The 2014 Metro Manila Film Fest entries have already earned P701 million in the box-office as of January 1, 2015. This was announced by Dominic Du of the MMFF executive committee in an interview with Yahoo Philippines, affirming that the top three top-grossing MMFF movies have remained the same. He also said that the English Only Please movie was able to replace Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2 as the No. 4 top-grossing MMFF entry as of January 1.
Day 4 Gross Earnings
ABS-CBN revealed taht “Praybeyt Benjamin 2” and “Feng Shui 2” have earned P260 million in 4 days. Kris Aquino said that “Feng Shui 2” has already earned P88 million in the box office, while “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin” earned P172 million as of 3 p.m. Sunday.
Day 3 (December 27) Box Office Gross Earnings reach P365M
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) revealed that box office earning of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) has so far reached P365 million.
MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said the earnings is 12-percent higher compared with that of last year, pegged at P326 million.
The current four top-grossing films, in no particular order, are: The Amazing Praybet Benjamin, Feng Shui 2, My Big Bossing, and Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles.
Day 2 (December 26) Box Office Gross Earnings
Cumulative earnings of MMFF 2014 has earned P182 million during the first two days of opening.
MMFF chairman Francis Tolentino revealed that the ticket sales on the opening day, which was P146 million, was 13 percent higher than the 2013 opening day gross of P128 million.
The top four films, in no particular order, are The Amazing Praybet Benjamin, Feng Shui 2, My Big Bossing, and Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles.
Opening Day (December 25, 2014) Earnings
