
On opening day (December 25, 2014), the MMFF 2014 box office results revealed the rankings of the movies of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2014.
Praybeyt Benjamin 2, also known as The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin, emerged as the most-watched movie on the first day of the 40th Metro Manila Film Festival. The film is now tagged the highest-opening day gross for any Filipino film after earning a total of Php 53.3 million on opening day.
The 2014 sequel of the highest grossing action comedy films of 2011, The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin, features child stars Vice Ganda and James “Bimby” Aquino Yap as well as Richard Yap, and Tom Rodriguez.
MMFF 2014 kicked off on Christmas Day, December 25, and will run until the January 8, 2015.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino revealed as of 3 p.m. yesterday, the box office gross of the eight official entries in the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) was almost P140 million, outgrossing by around P12 million last year’s first-day take of P128 million.
This was announced by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino in a radio interview.

- Feng Shui 2
- My Big Bossing
- Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles
- English Only, Please
- Shake, Rattle & Roll XV
- Bonifacio: Unang Pangulo
- Magnum .357
Meanwhile, Feng Shui 2 is now the highest-opening day gross for any Filipino horror film. The film earned Php 31.4 million on opening day.
