Miss World Philippines 2013 semifinalist Zandra Flores from Manaoag, Pangasinan will compete at the Miss Universe Great Britain 2014 pageant in Cardiff, Wales this Saturday, June 21.

Zandra Flores was listed in the top 10 finalists in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013 but did not prevail in 4 major places. She was also in the list of top 13 semifinalists in Miss World Philippines 2013 last August 18 at Solaire Resort & Casino, Parañaque City but was not chosen in the top 5 major ranks.
She has joined Binibining Pilipinas 2013 pageant but did not land any place in the list of top 15 finalists.
Zandra Flores, 25, may have failed to land in the major awards category in any of the big Philippine beauty pageants but this coming Saturday she will proudly represent the city of Manchester in Miss Universe Great Britain 2014. Winner of this competition will be the United Kingdom’s bet in the Miss Universe pageant later this year.
“I went through intensive training for these pageants under the management of Kagandahang Flores team lead by Mr. Rodin Gilbert B. Flores. I humbly request for everyone’s support in my upcoming endeavour. I promise everyone to focus and do my best to win the crown,” she posted on Facebook.
“Being selected as one of the finalist in Miss Universe Great Britain will empower my advocacies to give me a chance to promote and continue working on humanitarian missions,” Flores added.
Zandra Flores is a Filipino-British citizen currently taking up a master’s degree at the Manchester Metropolitan University and plans to pursue a career in medicine. She graduated from the University of Bradford in England with a degree in Biomedical Sciences specializing in Cellular Pathology.
