Winners took top honors at the MMFF 2014 Awards Night on Saturday, December 27, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

the 40th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) kicked off Christmas Day, December 25, with 8 full-length films in the main competition. The annual festival also included 5 films under the New Wave category.

The annual Parade of Stars on December 23 showcased the eight official entries in running this year. It started at the Aseana Building in Parañaque at around 2 p.m., and then it traversed Macapagal Boulevard on its way to the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta.

The films included in the MMFF 2014 were The Aswang Chronicles, Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo, Muslim Magnum .357, Praybeyt Benjamin 2, Feng Shui 2, My Big Bossing’s Adventures, Shake, Rattle & Roll XV, and English Only, Please.

The 40th Metro Manila Film Festival Awards Night was hosted by Kris Aquino and Edu Manzano. The show was opened by Ryzza Mae Dizon, and Alonzo Muhlach.
