Nagcarlan, Laguna Official Local Candidates 2019 Midterm Elections

Three people are running for mayor of Nagcarlan, Laguna in the coming 2019 local elections.

Registered voters will elect for the elective local posts in Nagcarlan: the mayor, vice mayor, the Congressman, and the councilors, six in each of the city’s two legislative districts, on May 13, 2019.

Nagcarlan, officially the Municipality of Nagcarlan, (Tagalog: Bayan ng Nagcarlan), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Laguna, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 63,057 people.

It is 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) northeast of San Pablo City, or 103 kilometres (64 mi) south of Manila. The town is home to the Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery, one of the most important cemeteries in the Philippines which has been declared as an Important Cultural Property for its outstanding value to the nation.

Guidelines for Verification

  1. The Certified List of Candidates (List), as posted, is merely an initial List and subject to editing.
  2. All candidates are enjoined to check their names, specifically their Names to Appear on the Official Ballot, in the List.
  3. Any request for correction, if allowed, shall be communicated to the Regional Election Director, Provincial Election Supervisor, or Election Officer concerned in writing until 9 November 2018. The Election Officer shall in turn, submit a memorandum to the Law Department, by the fastest means of communication with regard to the request for correction.
  4. The Law Department shall determine whether or not the request for correction is allowed.
  5. The List is subject to the outcome of the various cases/issues pending before the Commission.
