Cabuyao, Laguna Official Local Candidates 2019 Midterm Elections

Two people are running for mayor of Cabuyao City, Laguna in the coming 2019 local elections.

Registered voters will elect for the elective local posts in Cabuyao City: the mayor, vice mayor, the Congressman, and the councilors, six in each of the city’s two legislative districts, on May 13, 2019.

Cabuyao, officially the City of Cabuyao, (Tagalog: Lungsod ng Cabuyao), or known simply as Cabuyao City, is a 1st class city in the province of Laguna, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 308,745 people.

It used to be known as the “richest municipality in the Philippines” because of the large populace of migrants working in the town’s industrial estates.Nestlé Philippines, Asia Brewery, Inc., San Miguel Corporation, Tanduay Distillers, Inc., Wyeth Philippines, Inc., Procter & Gamble Philippines, Light Industry and Science Park of the Philippines and Malayan Colleges Laguna have established factories or are located in Cabuyao.

Guidelines for Verification

  1. The Certified List of Candidates (List), as posted, is merely an initial List and subject to editing.
  2. All candidates are enjoined to check their names, specifically their Names to Appear on the Official Ballot, in the List.
  3. Any request for correction, if allowed, shall be communicated to the Regional Election Director, Provincial Election Supervisor, or Election Officer concerned in writing until 9 November 2018. The Election Officer shall in turn, submit a memorandum to the Law Department, by the fastest means of communication with regard to the request for correction.
  4. The Law Department shall determine whether or not the request for correction is allowed.
  5. The List is subject to the outcome of the various cases/issues pending before the Commission.
