Architect board exam is the licensure examination conducted by the Board of Architecture under the supervision of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). It is scheduled twice a year usually in the months of January and June. Also known as architect licensure examination (ALE), it includes topics in history and theory of architecture, principles of planning, architecture practice, utilities systems/structural conceptualization/building materials and construction, and architectural design and site planning.
Prior to taking up the licensure examinations for Architects, a minimum two (2) years equivalent period of practical and internship (diversified architectural experience) is required.

Upcoming Architect Board Exam Results
The Professional Regulation Commission will soon announce the full results of the June 2018 Architect Board Exam conducted on June 28 & 30, 2018 at PRC testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi.
According to the PRC’s target date/s or release of exam results for June 2018 Architect Licensure Examination (ALE), the full results will be made available in 4 working days after the last day of examination or on July 5, 2018.

January 2018 Architect Licensure Examination
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on February 1, Thursday, that 1,126 out of 1,955 examinees passed the Architect Licensure Examination given in January 2018.
Mark Henrich Wee Eng Go of University of Santo Tomas topped the exams with a rating of 85.40%.
Mark Terence Limsico Co and Rafael Cruz Paragas, both from University of the Philippines-Diliman, tied at second place with a rating of 84.20%.
Stephen Dominic Riva Rabe of Bicol University-Legazpi placed third with 83.90%.
University of Santo Tomas was this year’s top performing school with an 85.71% passing rate, followed by Mapua Institute of Technoloy with a passing rate of 81.48%.
June 2017 Architect Licensure Examination
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Wednesday, June 28 that 1,490 out of 2,679 passed the Architect Licensure Examination (ALE) given by the Board of Architecture headed by its Chairman, Arch. Robert S. Sac with two other members, Arch. Fidel Jose R. Siapno and Arch. Robert M. Mirafuente. The examination was held in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi last June 23 and 25, 2017.
Two graduates from Saint Louis University (SLU) in Baguio City topped the June 2017 Architect Licensure Examination released on Wednesday, June 28.
Jefferson Ventura ranked first with 84.70 passing rate while Levy Santos Canaleta made it to the top six with an average of 82.50.
The top performing school was University of Santo Tomas with 184 out of 221 of its examinees passed. Passing percentage was 83.26%.
January 2017 Architect Licensure Examination
A total of 919 out of 1,595 passed the January 2017 Architecture Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday, February 3.
The licensure examination was administered in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi last January 27 and 29, 2017.
University of the Philippines-Diliman graduate Luiz Marko Silang topped the exams with a score of 83.70 percent.
Meanwhile, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) was declared as the top performing school after 112 of its 137 examinees passed the exam.
June 2016 Architect Licensure Examination
A total of 1,243 out of 2,224 examinees passed the recent licensure examinations for architects, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Wednesday, June 29.
Technological University of the Philippines in Manila emerged as the lone top-performing school with 86.79-percent passing rate or equivalent to 46 passers out of 53 examinees.
Jeff McDaniel Yu See of the University of Santo Tomas topped the exam with an 84-percent passing rate.
The exam was administered by the Board of Architecture in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Legazpi last June 24 and 26.
January 2016 Architect Licensure Examination
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Wednesday, February 5, that 866 out of 1,556 passed the Architect Licensure Examination (ALE) given by the Board of Architecture headed by its Chairman, Arch. Robert S. Sac with two other members, Arch. Fidel Jose R. Siapno and Arch. Robert M. Mirafuente. The examination was held in Manila, Cebu and Legazpi last January 29 and 31, 2016.
UST was the lone top performing school in the January 2016 Architecture licensure exams.
Two Thomasians made it to the top ten despite the University posting an impressive passing rate of 86.08%, or 167 passers of 194 examinees.
Czarina Bernal Bumagat shared seventh place with Christine Lagmay Vicentillo from the University of San Carlos with a score of 81 percent. Erik Munar Cajulis grabbed eighth spot with an 80.7 percent passing rate.
Neil John Jalandra Bersabe from Ateneo de Davao University led this batch of examinees with a score of 84.5 percent.
Registration Date and Requirements
The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be announced later.
PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for all passers effective March 30, 2016. Initial registrants are advised to register online via http://online1.prc.gov.ph, an online application and registration portal of PRC.
Here are the registration requirements:
- Notice of Admission (NOA) – for identification purposes
- Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- Passport-sized ID Photos in white background and with complete name tag (2 pieces)
- Documentary Stamps (2 sets)
- Short Brown Envelope (1 piece)
- PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
