Sources have released the official passenger names of Air Asia with flight QZ8501, which went missing at 7:24 a.m. Sunday, December 28 as it flew over the Java Sea.
Airbus A320-200 carried 156 Indonesians, 3 South Koreans, one French, one Malaysian and one Singaporean, the airline said.
Of the 162 passengers and crew members, sixteen were children and one infant, the carrier said.
“Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. we must stay strong,” AirAsia Chief Executive Tony Fernandes said on Twitter.
Flight 8501 “was requesting deviation due to en route weather before communication with the aircraft was lost,” the airline said.
